The Filson’s called me shortly after their engagement and wanted to celebrate their honeymoon in a way they had never done before. Their initial thought was Tahiti or Bora Bora staying in an overwater bungalow. The biggest hang up was the 24 hour travel window each way from their hometown near Chicago. Lucky for them, the Palafitos at El Dorado Maroma a Karisma property in Riviera Maya Mexico had just become available. I showed them all that the Palafitos had to offer, their own private over the water luxurious room with a private outdoor shower, a plunge pool and a view of the ocean life beneath their feet through the glass floors in their bedroom and living room. Not only that but the direct 3.5 hour flights were very appealing They decided to go for it. The first text message I got from Doris was simply typed..all it said was “This is ABSOLUTE paradise!” They did not regret going to Mexico instead of the South Pacific and are already thinking about their return for their first anniversary.
